Christmas Cookies

A few days before Christmas Ashley and Casey spent the night and the next morning we began to bake Christmas cookies. We wound up baking over 15 dozen cookies in our pajamas, which is the only way to bake!

2008 Christmas Lights

On December 12th we took 6 of the 7 (that's all we could fit in our van legally!) grandkids around the town to see the Christmas lights. One of the courts is all decorated and is now a tourist attraction for winter visitors. Much fun and laughter was had by all!!

Arizona Winter Sunset

I had to post this beautiful sunset we saw outside our home the other evening. Yes, it's only 55 degrees when I took this picture. It does get cooler here!

Pee Wee Kids Sing!

On Tuesday, November 25th we had our Thanksgiving church service and 3 of our 7 grandkids sang. Zachery, Casey and Cadence did such a great job, I just had to post this small video. They are singing about getting rid of a grouchy attitude. We can take a lesson from that I can't seem to think of who they remind me of!!?? Enjoy!

Veteran's Day 2008

On Sunday, November 9th our church had a very special day for our veterans. Our pastor asked any active or veterans to dress in their uniforms or at least wear their medals. We dug Rod's uniform that he hadn't worn in over 40 years out of the closet and the jacket still fit....barely! It was a snug fit, but he sure did look impressive! Our grandson, Brandon loves taking pictures with servicemen and his Papa is no exception. It was a great lesson for all our grandkids to see that morning to remember those who fought for their freedom.
