Zachery's 6th Birthday

Zachery turned 6 on April 2nd and we all celebrated at Peter Piper Pizza. Believe it or not, their pizza is really go and we love going there. You can see by the pics that we all had a great time!
Daniella loves cake...yummy! Rod and Hector get into the spirit and Zachery is all smiles!

Spring Training

You know it's spring in Arizona when Rod takes us to a Giants spring training game. They didn't win (didn't surprise Patty) but most of the family are still fans. It was in the low 80's with a nice breeze while the rest of you were freezing elsewhere! Rod really goes to eat the food as you can see! Patty goes for the lemonade and being with the grandkids!

Soccer Girl

Well, we have our first sportkids with Ashley. She was in a girls soccer league this spring and she really became the star of the team. (With a coach like her dad...Mr. Soccer) And yes, we do have great weather in Arizona in the spring...it's not hot all year, you know! We can't wait until next year!

Rod, Ashley and Brandon at the NFL Experience a couple days before the Super Bowl. Notice the stadium in the background! They had a great time.

New Arizona Football Superstar

News Flash!!!

Rod has tried out at the SuperBowl NFL Experience for the Arizona Cardinals. Here are the pictures of his tryout! I think the Cardinals may have a chance with the "Old Guy". It couldn't hurt, could it????

February Greetings!

We have been busy this month already starting with Patty having a total thyroidectomy on February 4th. The surgery was elective since a very large goiter has continued to grow over the last 17 years.

After surgery the doctor told us that it was a blessing Patty chose to have the surgery since the 4 smaller nodules on the left side were cancerous. She had already had the larger goiter biopsied before surgery since it more than likely would have cancer, but did not. The smaller nodules (not normally cancerous) were cancerous.

Thyroid cancer, if you have to get cancer, is the one to have. Ninety-five percent of the time the cancer never returns and that is great.

We both are praising the Lord for His protection and another opportunity at a longer life to serve Him. We thank all of our friends and especially our family for their prayers and love. PRAYER WORKS!!
Love,
Patty & Rod

Happy Birthday!

Well, I've finally made it to some senior discounts! I turned 55 on January 17th and had the privilege of reading to Granddaughter Casey's kindergarten class. (Casey is 2nd from the right) I brought birthday goodies and they sang Happy Birthday as only children can! What a blessing!
