Cadence Turn 5 Years Old!!

On May 12th Cadence turned five. She was holding up her hand and showing everyone her age. All 7 grandkidsand one of Zachery's friends went to the bowling alley to celebrate with her. We had a great time of bowling and pizza and being with the kids.

Fun At the Church Picnic

Early May is always a fun time with our church family picnic. This year the kids had the pie eating contest and it was really fun to watch. Ashley and Brandon gave it their best shot and the results were funny! Take a look.

Easter Day - Jesus Has Risen!

What a beautiful day it was on Easter this year. We had 4 of the 7 grandkids over for lunch after hearing the wonderful account of how Jesus loved us so much He died on the cross and rose from the dead so we could have life eternal. I wonder if the Sunday morning Jesus rose again was this pretty?

After lunch the kids decorated some Easter eggs and Papa hid them in our front yard for them to find. It was a race! Daniella didn't quite get why she had to find them.

Mother Dauughter Tea

Today Erica, Ashley, Casey and Patty attended the Mother Daughter Tea at the church. It was a five course eating frenzy that would probably make no sense to the men. But we had a lot of fun and time together.

Zachery Turns 7

On April 2nd Zachery turned 7 big ones!! He came over the next week because Patty was ill and opened his birthday present - a Clone War helmut.

Zachery's School Program

Zachery had a school program in March that he sang about having good character. He also had a small speaking part which you can view below. Great job, Zachery!

Welcome 2009

It's been a while since I've posted anything new on our blog. So much has happened since this year has begun. Rod turned 64 in January and the grandkids came over to celebrate. Instead of putting lots of candles on the cake, we put one gigantic one! Rod forgot Patty's birthday...he will never do that again!

We went to our timeshare in Kona, Hawaii in February and even saw the humpback whales. What a relaxing time.

This month Patty will find out if she needs to go for another round of radiation for her thyroid cancer surgery from a year ago. We will post for prayer if she needs more radiation.
