Veteran's Day 2008

On Sunday, November 9th our church had a very special day for our veterans. Our pastor asked any active or veterans to dress in their uniforms or at least wear their medals. We dug Rod's uniform that he hadn't worn in over 40 years out of the closet and the jacket still fit....barely! It was a snug fit, but he sure did look impressive! Our grandson, Brandon loves taking pictures with servicemen and his Papa is no exception. It was a great lesson for all our grandkids to see that morning to remember those who fought for their freedom.

Daniella Turns Two

On September 19th Daniella turned two and the family went to Peter Piper Pizza for fun, pizza and games. However, Daniella got her two year shots that morning and was not in a "party" mood. She did have fun opening her presents and as you can see, she is a shopping hound.

2008 Ladies Retreat - Horseback Riding

In mid-September many of the ladies from our church went into the White Mountains of Arizona for our annual ladies retreat. This year they had horseback riding and Erica and I signed on for this adventure. We saw country no one ever sees except by foot or horse. It was stunning. Here are a couple of pictures of us on the trail.

Boston Adventure

In early August Erica and I went to Boston with Brandon to the Massachusetts General Hospital for a meeting with research doctors for Brandon's condition - Central Precocious Puberty. This team of research doctors have taken on Brandon's condition as top priority since he is not responding as he should to the medicine he receives to slow down the puberty process in his body. The meeting was a success and they have already begun their research.

While we were there, we had an opportunity to walk the Freedom Trail, tour the USS Constitution and go the Boston's aquarium. Brandon loved walking through the cemeteries and looking at the headstones of many famous Americans that shaped our history.

Enjoy a couple of our pictures from the trip.
